Lore of Yang is excellent against low armor armies, breath of fire is devastating but 0% AP with a very fast animation which makes it fantastic option against low armor fast targets. It’s a very interesting and strong design choice and I look forward to seeing how their options expand or change with dlc stuff Interesting that for all the comparisons to Dwarfs, Cathay doesn’t have anything close to the melee bulwark of a Thane or Dwarf Lord, with their lords being essentially either Harmony Dispensers or Mages seemingly on par with good-but-not-S-tier recent WH2 Mages like Spellweavers or Great Bray Shamans. Speaking of that… sorry I’m being very lazy but I’ve not seen a “WH3 new magic lores in depth” analysis yet - how are lore of Yin and Yang? Zhao Ming’s Breath and Wall of Wind & Fire seem pretty powerful from what I’ve watched of his campaign, but Lionheart (whose Miao Ying campaign I’ve been watching) hasn’t gone much in Miao Ying so I’ve not seen her spells beyond Earth Blood much. I suppose they sort of live & die then on the strength of Lore of Yin & Yang, since they’re currently the only sources of it, and the Speed & power of the Jade Longma. Think we missed one?
